Well it looks like I may be making a job change in the near future:) I have been applying online for the last few days. Yesterday I recieved a voicemail from a Mortgage Company looking for an Executive Admin. The voicemail said they has recieved my resume and salary requirements and wanted to see if I was at all flexable with the salary and to give them a call back to discuss salary negiotiations. I called back and said I was flexible depending on benefits offered. So they want to pay be 50 cents less then what I'm getting now but offer an excellent benefits and vaction package.... I said that the money was a problem - I didn't want to go any lower then where I'm at now. She said she is going to go through upper management and see if she can get it approved. She set me up for an interview for next Tuesday at 5pm - she's actually staying after hours just to get me in there.
About a week ago I got a call from a friend of mine whom I used to work with and we've kept in touch. She rec'd a call from a friend of hers whose the Senior Executive of a Software Company. He wanted to know if she knew anyone that would be good for a Executive Admin/Project Cooridinator position. She immediantly said me! She emailed him my resume and he called her and told her that he will be getting me in for an interview and that he really hopes that I work out. Well she called me back and said that he is having to go through Human Resources and I must actually apply online - since that's their policy. Well I applied a few days ago.... I recieved an email from them this morning saying that my resume has been reviewed and I am being considered for the position and they will be in contact with me very soon. Wellllll this job is the one I would really like since he plans on educating whomever he hires for Project Management. It pays a dollar more then what I am getting now and has an excellent benefits package. The only thing that is holding me back is that I would have to serve as a receptionist for a few hours every morning... I HATE being a receptionist - I can't stand the way people treat you and the way your looked down upon... But then again I would have some great opportunities and I would be supporting a Senior Executive of a company with great potential to move up.... AHHH!!! I'm so excited!!! But I'm totally nervous at the same time - I'm scared to leave this job again - I want to make sure I will be happy where I go b/c I intend on staying there for quite a while. Also I'm so used to working here - I've been here for 4 years and it's a very leanant enviroment....
